Range Rules

DOWNLOADABLE DOCUMENTS:

Age Requirements
  1. Children must be at least 12 years old to shoot
  2. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who will sign a waiver and stay with them at all times
Preliminary Considerations
  1. All firearms that are not holstered should be cased in an unloaded position while going to or from the range.
  2. Display your unloaded and cleared firearm to the Range Counter Attendant as well as the ammunition you intend to use on the range.
  3. Only authorized firearms and ammunition may be used. Steel core, steel jacketed, tracer, and incendiary rounds are strictly prohibited.
  4. Let the Range Counter Attendant know if you’ve never fired a gun before. In addition to being humbled that you’ve chosen to shoot with us, we want to ensure you are comfortable on the range.
  5. Eye and ear protection is mandatory on the range. If you don’t have your own, both are available in our retail shop.
Range Safety Rules
  1. Shooters are to obey the instructions of the Range Safety Officer at all times.
  2. Eye and ear protection is MANDATORY at all times.
  3. Advise range personnel of any medical condition which could create a safety issue for you or others.
  4. Be certain that your ammunition is correct for the firearm you will be shooting.
  5. Know and understand how your firearm works and understand operation of all safety features.
  6. No firearm handling will be allowed outside the shooting booth.
  7. Only one shooter in the shooter’s “box” in a lane at a time, all other participants must be behind the safety line.
  8. Keep any firearm pointed downrange at ALL times, perpendicular to the target line, whether loaded, unloaded, or malfunctioning. Be sure of the target and what is behind the target.
  9. All guns that are “benched” should be unloaded, action open, and magazine removed.
  10. Do not load the firearm until ready to fire.
  11. Keep your finger off the trigger and on a fixed point on the side of the frame until you are on target and ready to fire.
  12. Shooters are to fire only one firearm at a time. When finished, unload and case the firearm before uncasing the next firearm.
  13. Under no circumstances may a loaded firearm be passed to another person. A firearm will be considered loaded if a magazine is inserted and/or firearm is in a closed, locked condition.
  14. Shooters should fire at their target only as rapidly as their ability permits. Uncontrolled shooting resulting in damage to equipment is strictly prohibited. Violators will have range privileges revoked and will be held liable for damages.
  15. Cross lane shooting is not permitted.
  16. No drawing from holsters without prior permission from on-duty Range Officer.
  17. Collection of your brass that falls on shooter’s side of the firing line is permitted when your session is over. Under no circumstances may any implement or appendage cross forward of the red firing line.
  18. No food, drink, gum, or tobacco is permitted inside the range. Cell phone usage, including texting, is strictly prohibited on the range.
  19. Range Officer decisions or determinations are final. Any misuse of facility or disregard of rules will result in expulsion from the range.
